When you open the e-fairground for the first time it always takes a while because you need a browser to be downloaded. When the browser is loaded the fairground should appear on the screen.

 If you land “under the ground” press the “refresh” button of the browser and you will be moved up on the grass.

 

The mouse

If you press the left button of the mouse you can use the mouse to turn around and walk backwards and forwards. Combine with the arrow keys if you want to move around faster.

Keys

Remember clicking in the window to activate the arrow keys.

     

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the fairground there are sandwich, signs and plates, but you also find “link pillars” to homepages. Clicking these pillars brings you to the homepage of the booth next to the pillar. 

By walking into the boxes marked “teleport” you can be transferred to new places and back to the fairground again.

Push-button menu

You find the push-button menu down in the left corner of the screen. Here you can find menus, choose the avatar you wish to be and give it a name. This name are shown when you chat with other visitors. If you wish to see your avatar in front of you press “show my avatar” in the “preference” menu.

The many menus can easily take up all space on the screen, so you are advised to make your adjustments and then close the menus again.

Remember to click on the screen when you wish to use the arrow keys.

Input your avatar

The avatars you can get from the standard set up are very heavy, and even though they are funny or nice looking we think you shall choose our own ones.

There are 4 you can choose between: AK, BK, AM and BM

You do it this way:

1.      copy one of the addresses below, mark it and press CTRL+C

2.      open up the fairground

3.      open the preference menu

4.      put the address into Avatar URL with CTRL+V

5.      press the refresh button

6.      you may move the avatar down to the list “my avatars”

Here you can give your avatar a name. It is important that we are not all named “new user”.

 

 

 

 

The button USER shows you, who are in the same area as you are. If you wish to chat with a certain person mark the box “whisper”.

 

 

In the chat window you can follow the debate and contribute to it yourself.

 

Here you can see who says something (the avatarname).

 

You can only write in the bottom line. Others can not see what you write on the chat board until you press ENTER.
